MISSION
The mission of the Charismatic Renewal Office is to empower people's
lives through the release of the Holy Spirit and to foster the
renewal of the Catholic-Christian life in the power of the Holy
Spirit.
WHAT
THE CHARISMATIC RENEWAL OFFICE DOES
- We sponsor
Life in the Spirit Seminars.
- We serve
as a resource center for the parish-based Charismatic prayer
groups and all Catholics in the Archdiocese.
- We present
Healing Masses, conferences and workshops to help Catholics
grow in their spirituality.
- We offer
a Prayer Line, a lending library of books, audio and video tapes,
and a free quarterly newsletter.
- We promote
a deeper spiritual life, a personal relationship with Jesus
and an empowered life to cope with the stresses and strains
of modern life.

ABOUT OUR MINISTRY AND SERVICES
Life
in the Spirit Seminar
The
Seminar is commonly used by Catholic groups in the context
of renewal
in the
Roman
Catholic Church.
It is an instrument for bringing people into a deeper experience
of the work of the Holy Spirit. The Seminar offers the
basic presentation
of the Gospel and the basic teaching about what the Lord is willing
to do for all who come to Him. The Life in the Spirit Seminar
is available for everyone. It consists of 1 1/2 hour sessions
once a week for eight weeks. Sessions include: 1) Explanation
and sign-up; 2) God's Love; 3) Salvation; 4) The New Life; 5)
Receiving God's Gifts; 6) Making a Commitment to Christ
and Prayer;
7) Growth; and 8) Transformation in Christ.
Healing
and Hope Masses: Every 3rd Tuesday of the month, 7:30
p.m. at St. Thomas Seminary, 467 Bloomfield Ave., Bloomfield,
CT. Rosary
begins at 6:55 p.m. Celebration of the liturgy at this Mass is
exactly the same as any other Mass. We also believe that
all Masses
are healing Masses. At a Healing and Hope Mass we provide trained
teams of people who pray with individuals at the conclusion
of
the Liturgy. See Schedule for

Conferences:
Normally presented for one day on a weekend. Topics selected
are to enhance people's spirituality. Call the office for
schedule
and receive free newsletter with schedule.
Charismatic
Prayer Groups: A gathering of Catholics to praise the Lord
in song and worship. Listening to the Lord speak to us through
our thoughts. Teaching from a gifted teacher in the group or from
a video or audio tape. Sharing our faith journey with the Lord
from the previous week. Prayer teams available to pray for people's
needs during or after the meeting.
Lending
Library: Consisting of spiritual books, audio and video tapes
on healing, church, scripture, spiritual life, spiritual warfare,
charismatic prayer groups and conferences.
Prayer
Line: People can call the office, 860-243-8234, and leave
their prayer requests. These requests are passed down through
a phone chain of nine people gifted in intercessory prayer. Someone
is also available to pray for your needs when you call.
Newsletter:
The letter is free and is published four times a year. Includes
a spiritual growth teaching, conference information and events
calendar.
